Introduction:

Mon Health is the “parent” company of Mon Health Medical Center, Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital and Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. It was formed in 1982 to aid in strategic planning and to manage all of its affiliated entities under a common philosophy.

Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital joined Mon Health in October 2017. Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital is a 70-bed general medical and surgical hospital in Weston, WV. It primarily serves Lewis, Gilmer, Braxton and Upshur counties.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP Finance administers, directs and monitors hospital financial activities and ensures that the fiscal requirements of the hospital will be met and that adequate financial resources will be available to carry out operations in accordance with the mission and strategic imperatives of the hospital.

Responsible for maintaining all records on financial transactions of all entities in accordance with accepted standards. Oversight of annual operating and capital budgets to key performance metrics to achieve the strategic outcomes of the hospital. Knowledgeable of all governmental regulations affecting reimbursement from Medicare and other third-party payers, and regulations regarding rate controls by the state. Ensures compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements and agencies, such as Medicare, Medicaid, IRS, HCA. Responsible for the coordination and presentation of all financial statements, operational budgets, and cost and statistical reports.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business or Finance related field. Track record of increasing responsibilities in a complex healthcare organization, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience at the management level. Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals. Excellence in organizational management and the ability to coach a senior-level staff to manage and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies.
